Kit and Ace is popping up everywhere, so I was none to surprised to stumble upon a beautifully edited holiday version while at Yorkdale Mall in Toronto. With the absence of storefront windows, I was drawn into the store like a moth towards the light, clean typography guiding my way.
Having carved out a niche with their innovative “Technical Cashmere,” the brand holds true to their ethos by creating spaces that force you to focus in on quality. The interior warmed with placements of rose gold in the fixturing and branding along with a continuation of royal blue and greenery keep the customer calm and present.
Witty copy and play on placement got this label geeks attention, spelling out DOT COM and creative kerning on the standard blue label added a layer of special. Belts with rose gold stamping and the subtlest of logos allowing the product to shine and making the wearer the focal point. Descriptors on hangtags speaking to the hectic flow of our daily lives that ensure the reader seamless transitions between each action be it work or play.
